Salutations, gentlefolk !
Would like to acquire in the near future (pick up at Cold Wars if possible):
15mm figures of Queens Zenobia and Boudicca, suitable for 'command stands'. Also interested in learning of other 'personality figures'.
The troops for a 15mm Palmyran army for DBA. Recommendations for the best cataphracts, archers, etc are earnestly sought.
Chariots, also 15s, for Ancient Brits, Scots-Irish, Picts, etc (Will first be filling OOB of Outpost Picts, on from there in '18...)

I was just going to start a thread asking about recommendations for Zenobia, when I decided to do a search and found your thread. I would like to make one army from each Book, and thought II/74b looked interesting. For the figures, I am thinking of purchasing from Magister Militum and specifically: Cataphracts: SPQR63 and SAR1 Archers (3Bw): VVV4 Swordsmen (4Bd): VVV2 Palmyran Light Horse: SPQR3 Archers (4Bw): PAL1 Archers (Ps): SPQR44 As for Zenobia as a Cv element, maybe: DARK3? |

I bought a dramatic 15mm Celtic queen w/chariot from Corvus Belli eons ago.
Not sure where you'd fine one today, ebay?

Forged in Battle do a very nice Zenobia riding a camel. Boudicca is a bit more problematic. The Corvus Belli one is very nice but is as rare as rocking horse droppings, but Magister Militum do one that may be suitable. Cheers, |

My Palmyran army project is underway, but has fallen back in my priorities list. Hope to complete it this summer. (Right now need to outstraighten some of mess in my place - or, as we say in New Jersey, a Spruce Springclean ;-) )
Have gotten Irregular's Queen Zenobia. Not that impressed. Will post picture when finished. Will pick up FiB's when I get the chance - thanks for telling me about it. If Frged in Battle had a US stockist ?

"We can do 'Special order'/singles/multiples, on any of the figures contained within this pack. Price £1.50 for mounted figure, £1.00 for a single figure. If you wish to special order, please state which figure by name, and what qty you require within the Comments Section of your order at Checkout. We will get back to you via email, prior to despatch, to arrange payment for these additional items."
Donnington also have a Zenobia figure.

Good to know about the FiB generals pack. Could probably use them all, one guise or another, sooner or later. But having sent 'orders big enuf to make shipping charges worthwhile' to Museum and Outpost, earlier this year, want to hold 'Grand Spring Deflashing and Priming', get 'primed figures pile' enlarged and 'raw lead mountain' shrunk, before more acquisition...
