Your armies are always nice to see, great stuff!
By the way, where is young Churchill?

By the way, where is young Churchill? At school or nursery, at a guess 😎

Thanks for the kind words Brian. A little early for Sir Winston, but the miniature on the right of the Generals element in this photo is based on the giveaway miniature by Wargames Illustrated of Young Winston by the Perry's. The chap in front is based on the painting "A Gentleman in Kharki", by Richard Caton Woodville. He's also known as the Absent Minded Beggar after an 1899 poem by Rudyard Kipling, set to music by Sir Arthur Sullivan.

If I may…
In the 2nd version of the French SF RPG Méga, where the PCs are Galactic Messengers (=troubleshooters) who roam not only space but parallel universes, one adventure takes place on a parallel Earth in the last gasp of a British Empire that made the fatal mistake of provoking a Zulu kingdom wielding powerful magic : they first destroyed their forces in Africa and then invaded England. Also, there are dragons around, but they’re not really important in military terms. Also, a scientist from yet another parallel Earth has joined the British and is building a laser-wielding space cruiser for them. Can he finish it fast enough ? Also, I've recently read that a Zulu warcry was Lebela nxa ku kuluma abadela ! i.e. Listen when your enemies speak !, which is pretty damn cool
THE ZULUS . Warband General : impi leader . 5 Warbands . 1 Magician . 2 Airboats ( the scenario calls them « flying kraals » and doesn’t elaborate ) . 2 Lurkers : Sinn Feiners out to finish the British Empire OPTION : . swap the Airboats for 1 more Magician and 1 Shooter : Zulus with rifles
THE BRITISH . Shooter General . 4 Shooters . 1 Rider : horsemen . 2 Artilleries . 2 Hordes : armed civilians . 1 Dragon : space cruiser OPTION . 1 Behemoth : relic tripod from the Martians’ previous attack

Can't wait to see some pictures. (Especially the relic tripod... )

Thanks for sharing this. I really like the idea of the flying kraals as some type of Zulu airboat and Sinn Feiners out to finish the British Empire.

I'm very happy you like them !
Regrettably Bian Ború, I don't have the miniatures - or the skill to paint them - or the time - or a smartphone to take pictures with assuming I had the first three. I just tested the armies with cardboard squares…
