Got some Medieval Spanish on order from Khurusan to complete my delayed Catalan project. So enough figures for 1x3Kn (G), 1x3Cv, 1x4Cb and 1xPs.

I recently started painting some 6mm figures again after a hiatus of 15 years, and realized that I was just about to finish the 5th army in what was supposed to be a 6 army DBA 1.0 campaign set. The previous Goths got handed over to one of my sons to build a 6mm fantasy army, so I ordered enough figures from Irregular to replace them and round out my campaign…

Picked up several boxes of the old Revell 1/72 scale Aztecs to be converted into Mixtecs as opponents for my other Mesoamerican armies.

With the Ancient Spanish project nearly completed, I’m turning my attention to the second big package of Legio Heroica Muslims that I got second-hand back at the end of last year. I think I’ve got the basis for three armies: Ayyubid Egyptian; Syrian and Fatimid Egyptian, but needed some top ups for the Dailami (4Ax), ‘Abid Al-Shira (4Bd) and the Ghazis (3Wb). Bit of guess work applied for the correct figures for the latter two types, but, in the end, I went with Donnington New Range - MUF38, MUF15 & MUF20.

..Brain Boru@: Poland was a latecomer. Silesia and the south til Krakow was a part of Bohemia.Use a silver eagle in red as banner or animals like deers. A polish army has a lot of bowmen and spearmen. Hometerrain is forrest but you have avoid it with that troops...

Got myself a) Early Hebrew army from Red Copper / Baueda b) Norman army from Museum Miniatures / Z models eyeing intensively the New Egyptians from Baueda. No need to any of them (I am not even pretending ), but I'll be happy to try out those new ranges to me! |

just bought a DBA II/54a Scots-Irish Army 55 BC-432 AD from Splintered Light Miniatures. Have never seen them in the flesh so I am anxious to see them.

Now I've got a splendid enemy for them: IV/47 Golden Horde or Successor. And I'm really keen on trying my first LH tactics... |

Following news of Magister Militum being put up for sale, got the Meroitic Kushite and the Attalid Pergamene, just in case they go out of production… won’t be painting them any day soon, though…

Bought myself a
a) Maccabean army from Forged in Battle
b) Nikephorian army as a mix of Lurkio miniatures, Essex and Forged in Battle
c) Khazar army as a mix of Lukio miniatures and Essex
Pretty excited about these projects. I was really interested in getting armies from Khurasan but postage got the best of my motivation and I could not justify that the (punishing) costs airmail has become. Really a pity, because the figures looked nice.

My newest army is the Golden Horde & Successors. It is splendid and you can deploy even cavalry only (5xCv plus 7xLH). But it is not so easy to handle it ... |

I recently bought a job lot of unpainted/part-painted second hand figures. On closer inspection, this "Egyptian" army proved to contain a high proportion of Magister Militum Nubians, so I have just ordered the extra figures required to give me a complete I/3 Nubian army.
