Everyone seemed to enjoy the Massive, so Tim and I have been discussing holding about another Staines HoTT Massive tournament in April of next year. (This would be a new stand-alone competition, not connected to the GBnU.*)
At this stage we are just gauging interest, but if there are sufficient numbers, we are looking at moving into the much larger hall next door rather than our normal room.
A suggested theme is ‘Fire & Ice’ with participants free to express this as they see fit. (As usual with our events, the theme is not compulsory.)
Nothing is booked or confirmed yet, but if the idea interests you please say so and we will see how it goes
Pete
*The Staines leg of the 2017 GBnU is provisionally set for 9th September – well before the clocks go back, 1 week after Colours and 2 weeks before SELWG.

With such a good attendance the Massive was even better this year – sign me up and as Martin says, early notification is very welcome.

Pete has posted this on the Yahoo site:-
" Hi
I am pleased to confirm Staines Wargamers will be running a new HoTT competition on Sunday 9th April. That's the Sunday before Easter and 2 weeks before Salute.
The format proposed will be 4 games starting at 10.00 with the traditional break for a pub lunch.
The theme - optional as always - is Hero's & Villains, with at least one Hero in the army.
This date is also after the change to Summer Time so should enable your journey to be mostly in daylight.

So just over a week to go.
Planning to go, as is Mr Hittite and attilathenun....
Who else??
