Hi all,
According to the list notes they started to be used from 1454AD. I have been unable to find much to support this.
What do people think, using them in a very late 1515AD army as the 3Kn elements?
Cheers

My books are still in store, so I cannot check this information.
I seem to remember a book with the origin of these in, I think the suggestion was of a person in an earlier style armour, and just one wing.

David Constable Oh how familiar that sounds - mine have been in store for 20 odd years with only very limited access! But, I remember reading something similar.

Absolutly no winged hussars in first half of XVI century. Battle of Orsha took place on 08.09.1514. Please take a look here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Orsha_(painting)These men in fancy hats are early hussars, but they are no "knights"; light horse ot cavalry at most. At this time "knights" were clad in full "maximilian style" armour. There was a difference between "lance banners" and "hussar banners". I could search my library for more informations if you are interested in. I apologize for my poor english.

Tks for that. Looks like no Winged Hussars.
So next question.
Who makes the best 15mm figures for this list?

...QR could be a good option. I have the early Polish from that manufacturer: ...painted by timurilank. But there are also figures for later periods...

Daz,
Dean Bedlington of Olympian Games stocks QR Minis (or did last time I looked). Drop him a line and let him know to bring some along for Landwaster.

Winged Hussars are always a legitimate choice as they look great!
Legio Heroica have a stunning range.
