Thank you, I enjoyed all three games, especially the third one. The horde proved tenacious. Lithuanians lack a few details and they will be finished, (4 x Cv, 6 x LH, 2 x 3Bw).

The Battle of Gavere – 1453
This is one of a number of battles Philip the Good fought to maintain his authority in the Low Countries. Play testing should be this weekend with a full report with photos planned for next week. The two part series by Antoine de Smet proved very useful for this battle. dbagora.blogspot.com/2021/01/battle-of-gavere-1453.html

With the description you provided of the battlefield, I look forward to seeing a picture of the table. From the description given, the rebels would deploy on the crest of the hill well out of artillery range. Philip the Good allowed them to complete their deployment before moving his artillery forward. The rebels did likewise with an ensuing artillery duel lasting two hours giving the rebels time to recover from their long march. Look forward to the weekend.

Lithuanian III/18
A brief description of the Lithuanians with photos can be found at the blog. There are no plans to double the size, but and order was place with Legio Heroica to add some light horse and dismounted archers. This should prove a useful ally. dbagora.blogspot.com/2021/01/lithuanian-iii18.html

The Battle of Gavere – the refight
Three test games were played with varying results; two hard fought battles and one decisive victory. Standard army lists were used and doubled for the Low Countries IV/57c and Early Burgundian IV/76 with one minor revision; four pikemen (7Hd) substituted for four pikemen (4Pk). This simulates the extra 4,000 rebels gathered along the march to Gavere and worked well in the game. Pikemen (7Hd) are not uncommon as they appear among the medieval French, Italian, Polish and German lists. dbagora.blogspot.com/2021/01/threetests-used-standard-dba3-lists-for.htmlPhotos of the battlefield are added to the scenario. dbagora.blogspot.com/2021/01/battle-of-gavere-1453.html

I seem to get an error with the last link timurilank.
The link adds some text after the html which seems to kill the link.
I just got rid of the extra text and was able to view your page on the battlefield.
Just want to let others know in case they also get an error when first trying the link.
Back to the battlefield... cool looking setup!

Good News.
Orders placed on Legio Heroica and Museum Miniatures have shipped and hopefully will arrive next week. This will bring an opportunity to paint more flags (German and Iberian) plus play a few more games before they arrive.

The Museum Miniatures are on the work bench, 32 German foot figures. The Almughavars and Lithuanian are progressing through stages of terrain and grass.
The latest scenario is postponed, a recent find of a German source requires some changes. And there is a map which is useful.
