The guide to the DBA 2.2 (accurately IMHO) describes light horse as "float like a butterfly, sting like a butterfly".
With combat factors of only 2 v. foot and 2 v. mounted, light horse can't do a lot of damage. All they can do is dance. They lack punch.
And that would come as a surprise to the earth conquering light horse of the Mongols, the civilization destroying light horse of Tamerlane, or the legion killing light horse of the Parthians.
So how about increasing their combat factor to the same levels as cavalry, 3 v. foot and 3 v. mounted?
All other factors (movement rates, combat results, etc.) stay the same.
In effect, using DBM terminology, Light Horse would become "Fast" Cavalry.
And Genghis Khan can finally conquer the earth in DBM.
Thoughts or comments?
P.S. Maybe treat Psiloi as "fast Auxilia" for the same reasons?

So they still QK Knights, Elephants and Bow, still get rear support and still get to move more than once and have a command range of 20 BW?
I think they would indeed be all-conquering - to the detriment of the game.

If LH had a combat factor of 3 against all enemies, and retained all the current LH abilities, then why would anybody ever use CV?

They soon are much better if you use them right, because DBA is a positional game (similar to chess). As any other weak unit they show their true value as soon as they work together with other units. If they do, enemy LH are a threat to your camp, a nightmare at your flanks, a terror to your rear. But their right use in gameplay is not easy, needs a lot of experience and good PIP throws... (As far as I remember the best suggestion to enhance the performance of LH was something like that they use lesser PIPs or none at all.)
