Hi all
I'll try this year to post regular battle report. As i don't like what i manage to do with the forum tools, i've made it in a PDF ( link).
Advice on the doc, on rules, on units, on strategy, ... will be appreciated !
And if there is a way to host the PDF directly in the forum, let me know, it would be more durable tha, a free host.

I'll do the easy part and answer your question. No, there is no overlap at that point.

I'll do the easy part and answer your question. No, there is no overlap at that point. Thanks. That is what is thought. I sadly forgot the other rules question i had during the game. I just remember a lot were who is flanking, or flank supporting, or both.
It's a bit frustrating, but i decided to play it fast enough, or i would never have been able to write a report. So probably a lot of mistakes. But as i was alone, nobody suffered from them ;-)

Advice on the doc, on rules, on units, on strategy, ... will be appreciated ! A great report and nicely explained with great pictures. As you asked for advice on play I hope you don't mind me offering the following thoughts but find the following useful: 1. On turn 2 the Carthaginian Sp swing around on to the flank of the Roman Bd, but in other pictures it looks very close to the Roman Cv sitting in the Plough, so was the Cv Zone of Control stopping that move? 2. In the third turn moving the Triarii to exactly behind and touching the PS in front was very dangerous. In the following move the Carthaginian could have used the two PIPS to move the General Cv into contact with the Ps and the other Cv to hit the flanks of the PS and Triarii. On 3-1 to the Cv a victory would have resulted in the loss of both Ps and Sp, (see last part of Destroyed Elements on page 12.) If the Sp had simply moved 2BW to the side it would have pinned the flanking Cv and stopped this move, (though the Ps was probably a lost cause anyway). 3. Fourth turn - I don't think the Roman Cav Gen could legally contact the Sp to it's front, (though I'm willing to be corrected on this). The two right corners are not aligned, which means that if the Cav goes straight forward it doesn't make a proper legal flank contact. As it's single element to single element the Cav have to conform to the Sp. The only way for the Cav to get in would be to swing around and hit the Sp frontally (I think?) In the Carthaginian turn it would have been better to move the Sp back to the side of their friends. This would still give a -1 to the Roman Bd for being overlapped, but the Sp in combat would have received a +1 for another friendly Sp in side support. Also, with hindsight, it wouldn't have left the Sp stuck out in front with an overlap either side when the Roman Bd hit in the next turn. 4. Fifth turn - I don't think the solid Wb could reach the rear of the Roman Gen to make a legal contact. Solid Wb move 2BW and they are ahead of the Cav rear line. This means that the front right corner of the Wb has to be more than 2BW away from the back right corner of the Cav, (as you're hitting a rear edge. not a front edge there is no free slide up to 1BW.) Also not sure why two Cv went into the side as only one of them would have counted. Hope these comments help and look forward to the next reports. They were some lovely looking figures. As I'm just about to finish painting a Polybian Roman army and already have a Carthaginian I'll have to try this match up sometime! Thanks
