Hello Here are some pictures of a HOTT army which was the first prize for the HOTT GBUIT tournament in Ballainvilliers, suburbs of Paris, on november 26th. The army was enjoyed by the players (in this tournament, the armies are provided buy the organisation and you never play twice an army) and was reasonably effective with 4 wins and 3 defeats. The composition was the ruleset one's : * general flying Hero * behemoth * 3 Beasts * 8 Hordes The whole army. the stone were taken from a mountain stream. Asag. it is a 3D resin printed figurine. Asag. it is a 3D resin printed figurine. Yours sincerely Claude

To be honest, it's a bit strange to me, stone should me more familiar for HOTT player maybe; but really fun to see.
This could make many ideas to create armies with my children !

I participated in this tournament and indeed, I really enjoyed this army, even if I lost with it. It's great to be able to make a big battle line of 8 units, without wondering too much about their efficiency. The behemoth and the flying hero hide behind it waiting for an opportunity to do some damage. The beasts gallop along the flanks... Its difficulty lies in the fact that you have to expose your general in the end and that a hero, even a flying one, is always a bit fragile against magicians, artilleries and other heros. The beasts are also tricky. They can be deadly, but they also die quite quickly in my opinion. Since I won the tournament, I was able to choose an army to take home, and I chose this one (thank you so much Claude for allowing this for your tournaments). I can't wait to use it in the next tournament!

Strange to see that Baldie hasn't 'liked' this, as he has a rock army.
Maybe it's because this one has an actual figure in it?!
I always feel this should be part of a tripartite set of armies, the others being paper and scissors!

I could imagine an origami army for "paper", but a scissors army seems like it would be a little monotonous with all Blades!

"- Which army you play ? - I'm playing scissor. - Ok then i win with my rock army. Judge ! Game is over here !"

I ain't got a flying bull deamon but I do have a bloody big stronghold that I cant quite work out if it looks more like Napoleon or Paddington bear. 3 x Behemoth 4 x Beasts 4 x Hordes Then some blades as spares Hope to do volcano artillery, meteor flyers, more blades, warband and partially submerged rocks for water lurkers
I also got plans for another HoTT force ready to go and Space marines to take on the Orks

The problem with the ASAG army, is that there are so many ways you can represent it nicely, that it is difficult to choose : 3D printed, styrofoam cut or real rocks ? painted or natural rocks ? But that is part of the fun of this army !

As a Yorkshireman I was immediately drawn to the picked up off floor for nowt approach. Think it is the only army I have where basing material cost more than the figures. I do have a more cost effective force I will dig out tomorrow.

I do have a more cost effective force I will dig out tomorrow. Ha ha 😂🤣 Many moons ago it occurred to me that I could easily build an army of swarms ( hordes presumably) of ants, supported by angry bees or wasps. And all of this for free - utilising the dead insects found in our conservatory and/or back garden. They’re already pretty much “mummified” and the only real drawback is the fact that the bodies are so fragile. Project shelved. Cheers, Geoff - a fellow Yorkshireman. ps/ maybe we can find two more Yorkshiremen to add their comments too, shades of Monty Python.

How HoTT armies are made ? There is a lsit somewhere, or is it just imagination ? There are example lists in the rule book…and then it’s up to the player’s imagination. Almost anything can be a Hott army. That’s one of the strengths of the rules, IMHO.

So i wasthinking about putting some mammoth and sabertooth tiger in her army. It's nice to see that you can play quite everything. I've readen here about orks and space marines, you also play these with Hott ?
