Going back to Mike Guth's original post, having purchased a number of 'abandoned' figure lines in the last 8 years, I get a lot of thank you's for keeping the old figures in the market. Bill Hupp T&R Miniatures Manufacturer of 15mm and 28mm figures -Thistle and Rose 15mm - Feudal Casting 15mm - Vendel 28mm Ancients - Vendel 28mm Fantasy - Vendel 28mm Elizabethan/ Border Reivers Which people are very happy about , but its a double edged sword when you won't post them to the EU or UK . Lucky for me I have friends in the USofA , who wil forward the figures to me in the UK , but not everyone will though . Well, trade policy and postage costs are out of the control of any mfg. While Scale Creep won’t sell you the Feudal Casting figures I will directly as well as the Thistle & Rose figures Mark does not carry. It puts the responsibility for VAT and customs on you the consumer, but really, you pay that anyway. Right now the exchange rate is doing most of the damage. Just send me an email at Thistleandroseminiatures@gmail.com and I can get you a price list and take any orders. Bill T&R Miniatures

Here in Oz I have placed orders with Khurusan where I combine with a few friends.
Between us we reach the Max Postage amount ($US62 for an order of $250.01+) and then we split it up (I assign it proportionately based on the contribution to the order)
That way the postage amount is spread across several people, so not so painful.
cheers

If nothing else this thread has made me feel so good I’ve spent all that money over the years to build a large stock of unpainted lead! In fact I suspect we don’t need a kickstarter, just pool our lead mountains and we all have enough figures to go round. Certainly little chance I will ever get through mine

Certainly little chance I will ever get through mine But will any of us actually PART with our lead stockpile ?? Seriously Cheers ….well, prompted by having spent two years clearing an elderly ex-gamer’s lead, resin and plastics pile (from Sumeria to Cold War, 6mm to 54mm) I actually DID shift some of my “I’ll never get around to this” projects - it feels quite ‘lifting’ to clear some from the pile, AND someone else gets use from it. [yep, I’m a heretic].

Seriously Cheers After many years of telling er indoors my figs cost next to nothing I expect they will be chucked. Maybe we should set up a DBA scholarship to promote the use of the finest set of rules ever created

An interesting read - but I’ll admit I got sidetracked by the Cilician Armenian article - another project; best add to the lead stockpile while I can get the figures!

Forget about looking back fondly on beautiful 15mm models Soon we will be looking back fondly at heated rooms and lights as we have to burn inferior rules set to give us light to play by. Wood will become too in demand as fuel that our only option will be to chalk gaming boards and terrain onto the concrete floors of the underground nuclear shelters we are forced to scratch out an existence in. A DBA based post apocalyptic film, maybe I should call LA In that world warfare will be reduced to bows, spears and swords again so you'll be able to experience DBA for real, which is likely to be less fun. I'm building my I/14a European Bronze Age army atm. In DBA 4.0, i woulld play it also as V/1a Early Post Collapse survivors
