Can I use one of baldies armies because they always seem to do well? Not always with me in command I may add

The scramble comes North eh? Indeed. I would publicly like to declare I've pinched this idea from Martin, (with just a slight amendment.) So no prize for top army at this tournament. In fact I'm contemplating ending the prize giving with a public shaming of the person who brings the army that performs the best!

If we’re levelling up can my opponents take my scores🤣 No, but if both players agree there will be an opportunity for one pair per round to use a different system other than throwing dice!

Levelling up, you say? If I set off from the South Coast, I might only get as far as Birmingham.

Good news everyone! I'm delighted to announce that Irregular Miniatures have kindly agreed to sponsor the DBA 'Levelling Up' tournament at the Steel Warriors event. They have very generously agreed to provide 3 armies! One for each of the podium finishers. These armies will be DBA 3.0 compatible and will be selected from the more unusual armies in their range of figures, so no Imperial Romans or Macedonians etc. To see what these armies may be, go to the following Irregular Miniatures website page and have a guess: irregularminiatures.co.uk/indexes/15mmindex.htmSo if you fancy the chance of winning an unusual army, put the date in your diary now, March 25th 2023 at Magna, Sheffield Road, Templeborough, Rotherham, UK. S60 1DX.

Just heard that the Society of Ancients Battle day has now been changed to the 1st April, so it no longer clashes with the Steel Warriors event.

Good afternoon Mark,
Pursuant to our conversation yesterday, this is just a quick note to confirm I will be attending the Steel Warriors DBA competition.
What time does the tournament start and what time do you want us there for?
Thanks you for organising.
Cheers
Tom

Thanks Tom. I've emailed the organisers and asked what time we can have access and when they want us out by, so once I know I'll confirm times, but I suspect it will be similar to the Northern Cup, i.e. Registration from 9.30 - 9.45, first game around 9.50, 6 rounds and aim to finish with prize giving at about 5pm so out by 5.30 at the latest.
If it's any different I'll let people know.
So far we have the following people expressing interest in attending:
Paul M Baldie Lulu Spargo Ken Gordon Thomas W Pete Davis Rob Rush Colin Alcock Tim Rogers John Saunders Phil Steele Martin Myers Paddy Myers
Anyone else interested in playing, please let me know.

Following a quick poll amongst potential participants the armies to be supplied by Irregular Miniatures as prizes for podium places at this event will be Burmese, Khmer and Korean.
(Wonder if people were influenced by the recent Burmese v Khmer match up at the Northern Cup?)
