Are 3WB basically fast warbands?
Are 4WB the standard warband?
Are 5WB the extreme warband (true berserkers)?

There's no 5Wb. I think that you might be confusing it with 5Hd, a totally different kettle of fish.

5Wb are from an old version of the rules , now classed as 5Hd .

Dpd, The pdf is an older version (2.0) published in 2001. Since then, 3.0 army lists include the Italian Wars and further research have added sub-lists for many. Further, each army list contains background information and references.
