"As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning." Exodus 17:11
Was watching "Raiders of the Lost Ark" for the millionth time. A character says "The Bible speaks of the ark leveling mountains", but the Bible says no such thing - though it did apparently help bring down the walls of Jericho.
Instead, the Ark was taken into battle more than once (even lost to the Philistines after a bad defeat, see 1 Samuel 4 and 5).
This use of the Ark as an inspiration and a command post for the Israelite king or high priest would IMHO qualify it as a litter, equivalent to a command wagon.
So I would suggest that the General of both the Early Hebrew and Late Hebrew armies be replaced with a Litter.
But lots of Mideast desert tribes and settled peoples of the bronze age carried their tribe's laws, etc. in their own arks - it was a fairly common practice.
So I would do the same for Syro-Canaanite or Ugaritic armies as well (and maybe early Philistines and early Arabs).
Maybe some special morale rules for the Ark?
You are free to create your own house rules for levelling mountains.

P.S. Would also include "The True Cross" which inspired the Crusader armies in this category.

Mazel Tov! It wouldn't make the two Hebrew armies any "better", but it sure' would make them more interesting. (Grins.)
Old timers will recall that DBA 1.1 had this required troop-type: 1xWWg (ark & escorts).
