Inspired by Dunguaire Castle The material The start The tower assembled Made out of a Decorative Sheet "Natural Stone" No. 170860 by Faller, but simple grey styrofoam works as well if you want to carve and paint the stones.

Looking forward to seeing the finished castle. You can also get quick brick/rock work on XPS foam with the multiple rollers available. Faster than carving.

The ground plan of the original castle displays a diamond shape. I tried to retain this but on minimum ground.

Great work Brian Boru. Did you use same technique on walls as for tower? CarlL

Those little pins look like they would make excellent in-scale kebabs. Now, where is the castle kitchen…? 🤣😂 Cheers, Geoff

Great work Brian Boru. Did you use same technique on walls as for tower? CarlL Thank you! But I'm no great builder, just trying to get my terrain pieces together ... It's my first DBA castle. Yes, the same technique.

Those little pins look like they would make excellent in-scale kebabs. Now, where is the castle kitchen…? 🤣😂 Cheers, Geoff OMG! The kitchen! There is not even a chimney ... Quite a lot of details are still missing: a flagpole, a roof, doors, the gate, some houses, a trap door to the platform ... But the missing kitchen explains why the vikings still keep winning. They're better fed. I really must fix that!
