Unbelievable Combat Results II: Headless ArmiesAt the moment I'm exercising my worthy troops for the ULM Tournament in November, and I keep on training them hard. In one battle happened a curious thing: both generals got killed in successive bounds! This struck me like a kind of déjà vue, for just a short time ago (in a remarkable DBA battle with yorkist, and the only one I won on that day ), had happened just the same. And our armies stood there almost frozen to the ground. At first I thought this would happen not so often. But when I think of two generals both on different wings and trying to use a shock and awe strategy to disrupt the enemies' shieldwall, but becoming somehow overlapped, then this might be not so rare at all. Now my question: does this happen quite often? What is your experience? This happens more with my Dark Age armies. As Martin mentioned, they need to work their magic, but do expect the unexpected and keep an element in reserve to profit from their general’s breakthrough. Psiloi are very useful.
