Thanks very much for that Keith. With Mike and Andy, plus Lindon and Paul mentioned in Bill's post, plus diadescendent, that gets us up to 15. Looking strong!

OK dokes. I've run 4 scenarios based on an attendance of 14, 16, 18 or 20. In each situation I can offer a 4 round group stage, a semi final and a final, and I can run a plate competition for any of the runners up who want to be involved, so the options there if people want to wander off after 4 games. Timings might stretch a little bit towards the end of the day!

John Saunders is keen to attend (I don’t think he’s on Fanaticus).

Hi Everyone!
6 days to go.
Whilst the show doesn't officially start until 10.00, we have been given permission to come in early (09.30 ish). I have passed everyone's names to the organisers, and they have asked you to please please sign in upon arrival at the Newbury and Reading Wargames Society desk just inside the main entrance.
Whilst the show is free, I am asking for a small contribution(£2 or so) towards prizes and trophies . I also have a little gift for everyone taking part as well. Once those costs are covered, I will donate any surplus to a ethical, responsible elephant orphanage or charity.
We are up on the second floor, at the opposite end to the bring and buy sale.
See you all soon, Mark

Thanks for organising Mark, really enjoyed myself. Some old opponents and several new ones. Also nice to put some faces to forum names.
Colours was fab and I got a few bits of terrain and some BTD WW2 Germans and H&R Modern Russians
All of which pale in comparison to my Chocolate elephant.

Great fun!! Well done for the organisation, Mark. Ran very well 👍👍. Lots of tight games, but most enjoyable…. I won’t spoil any announcement, but ‘congrats to the podium three’ 😁… 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It was good to see DBA being played at Colours at last - a much overdue addition. With more space and daylight than we are used to and an excellent show for wargamers, I hope we will be returning next year. You wouldn’t know it was Mark’s first tournament as organiser because all went very smoothly, with a fun theme and system that allowed show browsing. The perfect balance.
I was surprised to meet only one elephant in each of my four games and only one artillery piece. I also played against two pike armies - how often do we see these at tournaments nowadays? I hope to see a list of competing armies posted here at some point.
Two wins, a draw and a loss did not get me into the finals, so I left early with other commitments pressing and the finals just beginning. Results should appear soon…
