Hello
This last weekend, we went with my son to an HOTT Tournament near Paris (you can see some pictures here 15etdice.forumactif.org/t181-21e-lem-au-kremlin-bicetre , some armies were very nice, I did play the pirates) and he challenged me to build him a 15mm HOTT army on the theme of Marvel super heroes.
In 28mm, that would have been pretty easy (I already have one), but in 15mm, that is much more complicated as the choice of available figures seems very limited.
If I do not consider some very old limited series minitaures which were produced in the seventies which are unavailable, for the moment I have only identified 2 sources of adequate miniatures :
* Rebel miniatures super hero packs www.rebelminis.com/15suhepa.html and www.rebelminis.com/15suvi.html . They do fit the bill perfectly, except that, for copyright purposes, they do not match the Marvel heroes, and I will have to extensively modify them
* I have found a couple of 1/87 miniatures which represent super heroes, but they are quite pricey and there are only a limited number of references
I can use probably some 25mm figurines for some giant creatures (Hulk, Antman), but that will not solve my roblem for the rank and file (I think I will base 2 miniatures per base for the 2AP troops). The last solution, would be to 3D print miniatures. The main problem would be to find adequate files to print (I do have a resin printer, even if I am no expert in using it), as most files are for larger figurines (40mm and up), and reducing them to 15mm will make them quite fragile and time consuming.
Hence my question : does someone have somme other idea to help me ?
Yours sincerely
Claude
