I’d like to come Simon… …even though one person turned up late at the last Bakewell Tournament without the compulsory Lateral Flow Test, and nurse Simon had to force what looked like a Pregnancy Testing Kit up his nose (ok…I admit it… it was me!). (PS Good news…my nose isn’t pregnant…)

(PS Good news…my nose isn’t pregnant…) You get a better reading from the throat . Odd when someone else does it , I don't gag . When I do it myself , I could get a meal up from last week , I gag that much .

I understand he is able to do it himself regularly I love DBA, and often play with myself (!). I even have a T-shirt to that effect… …but Simon won’t let me in if I wear it (shame).

Simon, Forgive my ignorance CE but is this tournament played with 15mm? And is there a limitation on what DBA armies can be used, like book 1 only etc.? CarlL "the novice"

Yes this is a 15mm on 40mm BW bases tournament. Any army from the the lists allowed as are allies. The only limitation is that there is no dismounting during or between games. This decision is made before the first round is called.
Regards,
Simon

The date for this will be Saturday 2 July 1000 at the Medway Centre… I just spotted the above. Presumably no armies allowed after 1000A.D. no? Otherwise I reckon we would be straying into the realms of science fiction/future war. Geoff 😀

The Medway Centre sounds like it should be in Kent, while the Bakewell Midland sounds like Derbyshire? I suppose I should check we are talking UK not an Australian or Canadian (or USA) 'cousin'? CarlL (definitely based in north of England last time I consulted a map! Of course this was an English map and not a Putin map that may have me living in a district of Byelorussia!) Apologies to other Russians out there. CarlL ....straying off topic...

Apologies to other Russians out there. CarlL ....straying off topic... Hello Carll You will find at first the names and places can be confusing. You will get used to it. Sometimes you get some amusing messages about where a place is, and how easy it is, or mostly is not, to get to. Always remember terms are relative: So the M1 sign in London used to imply the North began at Watford. In the 1960s to go from Winchester to Birmingham, friends thought they were going to the North. By the way, then that journey was done without Motorways, and the only dual-carriageway was a short piece around Oxford. Enjoy DBA it is a good game. David Constable
