LH combines what appears to be two different types of light horse: horse archers (Mongols, Parthians, etc.) and other light horse primarily armed with javelins and darts (Irish hobelars, Numidians, etc.). The tactics used by both vary somewhat but the primary difference appears to be the terrain they fight on. Horse archers need the vast open plains of the steppes to be effective (horse archer tactics require a lot of elbow room). In contrast, other light horse operate well in difficult terrain (Irish bogs, forests, hill country, etc.
So if horse archers are analogous to mounted bow and psiloi, perhaps other light horse can be considered to be equivalent to mounted auxilia and warbands, and with similar terrain effects on movement and combat?
P.S. Is there a DBA equivalent for dragoons (mounted English Longbow, mounted crossbow, etc.) that maneuver on horse but dismount to fight on foot?

I think cavalry (Cv) would fit the role you describe (mounted auxilia and warband). The DBA equivalent for dragoon would be Mtd-inf; mostly various types of archers. You will find a description on page 5, third paragraph from the bottom of the page. Base size and number of figures are found in the table.

I see CV being more analogous to mounted blades. The rule describe cavalry tactics as a kind of cavalry melee as oppose to missile fire from LH and pure shock action from KN.

Cav covers a lot of different types, some that have javelins, some are more sword armed or long spear. It’s a deliberate simplification to avoid too many troop types. If they’d wanted they could have had “fast” mounted troops to differentiate them but then you’d have fast LH which would be crazy fast
