Robert Luddy was one of my best friends. He introduced me to the WRG 5 and 6 rules, and migrated to DBA with us way back in 1988 or 1989. He ran some of the first ancient events before HMGS was even HMGS. We competed in many tournaments. I remember him almost winning a WRG event with New Kingdom Egyptians; quite a feat against wedge fighting knights and 2HCW Vikings when you only had JLS. In DBA he finished second in an open tournament with Goths, 6 KN and 6 PS. He was always a gentleman over the table.
If you know Bob, and have his email, send him a note. He is fortunate to have 2 fine sons and many loving grandchildren. He was an important member of our early ancient wargaming community.

Mike, thanks for the information. Sorry to learn this. I remember Bob from the old NASAMW tournament days at the eastern cons. Back in the good old days.
