Successful DBA 3.0 events have been run at almost every Historicon. I ran 25mm and Tony ran 15mm. We always had a dozen or so players.
COVID tossed everything upside down.
I went to the last Historicon ran a mass campaign using Knights & Knaves and the event was over filled. Could have easily ran more stuff but I also do my WWII game Combat Command so am pretty booked (also helped Frank Chadwick play test a new WWII game).
Hope to make this years H-con and run events and play in some DBA 3.0 stuff.
Have run big events in for both historical and fantasy using DBX mechanics every H-con I have attended and plan to do more.
ADLG has a decent tournament scene but Triumph was back in its own room and I only saw a few games.
Locally DBX has never been stronger since the DBM 2.0 days.
If players come to H-con there will be events of interest.

In case you guys were under a rock or don't subscribe, I did a live feed with Mitch of the results for Historicon 2022 each night on my channel.
The turnout for all tournaments at Historicon 2022 seemed really low except for ADLG and seemed low for the convention in general. Despite all this we still had a player from Australia and another from Canada. Still only three people showed up for the NICT. We had a great time, which I would have had regardless of what we played.
I also did a live feed last night on my Youtube channel showing what I got at the show and outlining the good and bad of the event. I am very encouraged to paint new projects but not to put more effort into going to run events at Historicon since I worked pretty hard to make awards etc for little showing. All my efforts will be in pushing DBA 3.0 at our two annual cons in Orlando.
I am glad that DBA 3.0 is alive and well in my neck of the woods and we usually are now having the problem of too many folks to film.

Tony and Mitch need to be lauded and congratulated for their combined efforts in promoting our game in the US and internationally. I had the great pleasure to game against Tony at 2 Historicons and Mitch once. May your promotion of the hobby continue well into the future. Cheers,
