Hi all
Early heads up / one for the diary. I’ll be running a DBA tournament in Alton again, on St. George’s Day, 23rd April 2022. The theme will be related to English armies / armies which fought in (what is now modern day) England and the English occupied areas of the British Isles, from the very earliest (European Bronze Age) to the last in the book (Wars of the Roses/Tudor). List will follow.
Full details will be announced later, and entry will once again be by pre-booking and pre-payment only, with fixed max. numbers.
Will advise when booking is open - probably early next year.
Cheers for now
Martin

I am definitely interested in this one too. Hopefully there will be a few marauding scots options and I can spend the day beating off Sassenachs ...or dying heroically under English steel!

The year they ran a competition for fans to submit setlists explaining how each song was relevant was won by someone who justified “Atilla the Hun”. Biff was clearly well made up when he read the explanation. Will similar creative thinking be encouraged?

* apologies if this looks remarkably similar to the Mercian allowed armies list, but pure coincidence.

Are you sure the Zanj revolt did not reach the home counties.

Are you sure the Zanj revolt did not reach the home counties. Nope…some areas round here have been described as revolting, but I don’t think the Zanj are involved 🙃
