After many years of putting it off I have finally started on the pikes. Really they are for my Lart Seleucid force but along the way will get to fight alongside Alexander in DBA as well.
Could still be years before you see em of course but there is definately actual paint on em now.

Pike are one of the few troop types where the basing for LADLAG differs from that for DBx. How are you planning to handle that? And what range of figures have you chosen?

Xyston as I love em. Basing em like all my Lart armies so just doing DBA bases then doubling bases per unit. For the Pike elements I am doing 4 on a 15mmx40mm base but putting 3 bases in a column to represent a unit, back one will be removed if it gets in way of a flank or rear attack.
We have found it very rarely happens but you do need to remember a unit is supposed to be on a 40x40 base so we keep one free incase it is needed to show where a unit is.
For HC we stick 4 bases in a 2x2 formation to represent a unit and should have enough pike to add a third rank again to make it look more like a deep pike block.
I do find Macedonian/successor armies have a better win rate than in DBA, or at least my enemies armies have a better win rate at least.
