Just started watching the second series of El Cid 😎 P I didn't realise that the 2nd season had been released Paul. I can't recall, is it on Netflix? Cheers, Amazon Prime 👍 P

Amazon's "Wheel of Time" and Netflix' "The Witcher." I just found out the actor who plays the Witcher (Henry Cavell?), is into WarHammer, and enjoys painting. Neat!

nangwaya , During the interview, he kept there was no mention of which nation or species he collected. timurilankI actually have not watched Witcher yet. The first time I found out about it, was from roaming around your blog a couple of years ago, and noticed you had armies made up and even had a campaign set up for it, etc.. and then along came the Netflix show! Do you think it is a good idea for me to watch the Kings and Generals (Wizards and ?) videos before seeing the show, in that it will provide background and context, or will it spoil too much of the story?

The Wizards and Warriors channel will just cover the two Nilfgaard Wars. These serve as a backdrop for the TV series as the main characters carry on with their objectives. The books give better detail, especially the Second Nilfgaard War (Verdan campaign, battle of Brenna and Queen Meve’s partisan action).

I've discovered a late 90s BBC production of Ivanhoe on Amazon Prime, starring the delightfully named Victoria Smurfit as Rowena and Ciaran Hinds as Bois Gilbert. I've only had a chance to watch the first of 6 episodes so far.

Actually turned out to be a very decent film The Forgotten Battle. Far better and far more real than the films I grew up watching. Really well made with incredible attention to detail.
