Spurred by a discussion over in another thread about what armies have never been built, I have put together a survey form listing all the 3.0 army lists: DBA Army Survey Please go through when you get a chance and mark the armies that are in your collection - I will share the results here at some point. Very curious to see what the most common armies are, as well as the rarest!

Thanks Kaiphranos for all your efforts with the Census. I’ve completed it. It’s amazing how many armies we have. That’s assuming, of course, that a bag full of unpainted lead counts as an “army” Sadly, my unpainted armies far outweigh the painted ones. Maybe one day… My plan is still that once I retire fully (as distinct from just working part-time) I will magically wake up one day, discover I am the acclaimed leader of an army of “painting elves” and set them to work painting and basing my lead mountain. Regards, Geoff

Thanks for doing this. I have added the armies I have completed only.

I've added mine, but some are using the same figures when there are a/b/c etc. variants.

I've added mine, but some are using the same figures when there are a/b/c etc. variants. I expect that will be true in a lot of cases - I responded that way myself.

I have over 70 complete armies that translate into at least 268 variations that I have bothered to record. However I'm sure I have missed quite a few possibilities. I suspect this pales into insignificance when compared to Macbeth's collection.

Also done - painted armies only, but many are multi-use, like assorted Successors made from a single core.

Ooo, fun! I look forward to completing this, but give a few days. (I'm in a busy stretch at work. Will fill it out this weekend sometime.)

Completed. I gather my I/2a Early Egyptian has been grouped as an "other" at the bottom of Book I armies.

Oh Great King, my armies have been enrolled; just the painted and ready to go ones. I only counted one Polybian Roman, although deploying my original Armati armies in DBA would probably give me 2-3 of them (with Cv likely the limiting element type). Similarly, their matching Carthaginians would probably sustain a Carthaginian civil war as well as (at least) a severable Gallic army. I think I need some Spanish cavalry to form a separate Spanish army.
