Hi all. I have been painting some 28mm Saxons and its been a lot of fun. However I've found it a bit of a squeeze to fit 4 spears on one base. Its doable but I was wondering if one can get 3 28mm cavalry on a 60mm frontage? Does anyone know? Cheers Paul.

Yup, especially if you have the centre figure slightly forward.

I am not sure. I would say that it depends on the figures in question. Some of the bigger ones are, IMHO, impossible to fit. Especially if they are in "dynamic" poses. You will only know if you try it, I would say.

The trick is to have the centre figure forward so the rider's feet are in front of his friends' feet to the left and right of him. The horses usually aren't the problem; it's the riders. Blokes holding lances with their arms out to the side can be a pain; always helps if the lance is held closer in to the side.

And of course it depends on the figures in question. The OP asked if one can get 3 28mm cavalry on a 60mm frontage. Note: "can" get. And I answered yes, because I've done it.
