Hi Folks! I occasionally make video journals of my solo wargames and thought I would upload some of them to a YouTube channel for others to see. I recently uploaded ‘DBA 3 0 Polybian Rome v Thrace’ here… www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsrByoBVky8&t=984s“A solo game of De Bellis Antiquitatis v 3.0. There are sure to be some mistakes made in my implementation of the rules - please let me know in the comments if you find anything and mention the time at which the mistake occurred, so that I can make notes here so folks will get the most out of the video. Enjoy!” I am no expert – just sharing the fun I had playing the battle. I hope you enjoy it. Cheers! - Jeff

I watched this last night and enjoyed it. You picked up and corrected the main errors which I noticed. (Blades don't pursue Ps and nothing pursues in or into Bad Going.)
There was one point where paid a PIP to move the Roman general into combat with the Thracian general when I think you could have moved for free as it was along the road. This would have left you with an extra PIP and allowed you to use the triarii (Sp) "close the door" on the peltasts (Ax) in combat with the hastati/principes (Bd). The peltasts lost that combat and recoiled. However, I may be wrong about the general to general move being along the road.

The psiloi repulsing the legionnaires was a surprise, but it opened a golden opportunity for the Thracian light horse. Another Roman loss ignored by Livy.

And from the Emperor too! >> Another Roman loss ignored by Livy. Indeed - I don't recall reading anything about this battle.
