Making slow progress with the flags, but they are now sketched and ready for painting. The past few days were spent experimenting with blending colour on paper, a technique normally not used for miniatures.

The Melnibonean flags (28x) are done and attached to their staffs. Tomorrow, these will be fixed to bases that need them.
A new thread will appear here soon recording further development of the Melniboné. Painting is now complete which leaves construction projects, the maps, battle reports and the story behind their appearance in the 18th century.
First instalment to appear Tuesday.

So I don't know if digital art is appropriate for this thread, but these little guys are what I play hordes of the things with: Little SVG units. I'm thinking about printing and laminating them to foam board, but right now all of my games have been played digitally.
This is my Undead Army. The swirling magic zone around the mystic orb is my Fortress/Camp. And the necromancer should be easy to spot. Also shown are Spears, Knights, warband, and hordes. The hordes and war-band have a bit more diversity, and are a little eclectic, with three unique versions each. The last version of warband (the one with polearms) looks a bit different, as it has no shields and I'm unsure if it looks more like blades or spears or something, and how it could be tied together more. There are more Units than 24 points, so the army can swap units in and out.
I'm liking how this army is coming together. I've got a few more armies being built, including an army of red pandas as a request from a loved one.
Let me know you can think of anyway to improve the army, be it visually or otherwise!

I have finally finished my Dalek Army (although, as Martin pointed out, some of them were on the wrong sized bases…now corrected). I’m afraid that my poor photographic skill matches that of my painting! What you see are:- 1 x Supreme Dalek (Blade General @ 2 AP)…not the Emperor, who went missing in the Time War. 4 x Dalek Squads (Blades @ 8 AP) 2 x Aerial Squads (Airboats @ 6 AP)…with the same combat factors as the foot Dalek-Blades. 2 x Dalek controlled Robobeasts (Beasts @ 4 AP)…for use in bad going. 1 x Dalek Saucer (Dragon @ 4 AP)…which looks a bit small, but it is very high in the sky. The Dalek Saucer could be replaced by that evil genius Davros (Magician @ 4 AP), or by a squad of Heavy Weapons Daleks (Artillery @ 3 AP) + a Dalek Mutant (Lurker @ 1 AP). The Stronghold has a Dalek City in the background and the grasping ‘Hand Of Davros’ in the foreground (which I didn’t make but bought from a shop). Also shown is a ‘Petrified Forest’, which is not a Wood. It is just an ordinary piece of bad going that doesn’t block sight or affect Aerial troops (which is probably why the Daleks incinerated it in the first place…you know what they’re like).

Been putting together a few fantasy elements to spice up my New Kingdom Egyptians as a HotT army. Here we have some Water Lurkers:

Very nice Kaiphranos. And speaking of Water Lurkers, many players complain that these don’t see much action, and rarely get used. So I like to allow the following. Water Lurkers may appear in:-The Sea, Lakes, Rivers, desert Oasis, Marshes, and also in ‘Swamps’. A ‘Swamp’ is any forested wetland such as lowland Woods or Jungles that have become waterlogged due to them being in contact with and touching a River, Lake, or The Sea. Water Lurkers are not necessarily creatures…they could also be shallow flat bottomed water craft such as gunboats or patrol boats. (Think of the many water channels passing through the Mississippi Swamps, the Everglades, and the Okefenokee Swamp of Florida, as well as the Mekong Delta of South Vietnam as shown in the film Apocalypse Now…”Never get out of the boat!” )
