Does anyone know of an on-line tutorial for making/attaching reins for chariot horsess? I've done some general searches but haven't found anything.

Does anyone know of an on-line tutorial for making/attaching reins for chariot horsess? I've done some general searches but haven't found anything. Hi; I like this person's title for his chariot mod: "Pimpin' Yo Chariot" linkHis reins are for 28mm figures, so I do not know if you can find wire thin enough to work for 15mm figures, I would also suggest messaging anyone you see that has posts on their blog or whatever, on how they did their reins for their chariots. I am sure you will get some helpful replies. If you do, please share them here I wonder about taking string and lightly applying hair spray or even a thin layer of pva glue, just to give the string some strength so it could hold a shape yet remain somehwat bendable?

I use thin brown cotton glued at each end...but it is messy and fiddly to do, but looks nice though. (I had planned to do the same with bows, but am just too lazy)

Wow, nice looking reins Tony! I took a twist tie and removed the plastic, to see how thick it would be and if I could get bendy with it and not have kinks. Could work?

If you are going to use wire I would suggest florist wire, the thin stuff is really easy to shape. As soon as I found my mother in laws stash I nicked some for spears etc and thin stuff as pins and industrial effects.

Dental floss and superglue! Works for turbans too!

Thanks to all for the swift and helpful responses. I guess I'll just have to get a very fine drill and and proceed by trial and error. At least now I know to attach the reins to the yoke and not the muzzle.

If you want very thin wires, take apart electronic cable/wire
Personally I seem to have been born with a talent for getting glue everywhere without managing to stick anything in the correct place so reins on a chariot is not something I have thought a lot about

Yep, I'm with Paddy. Dental floss yields a good effect. (Just don't tell your hygienist what you're really using it for.)
