Hi Paul, Is there still room for a little one? As I don’t seem to be running a game on that day anymore ☹️ Regards Tim

Just to let everyone know that I’ve confirmed the venue today and the 2021 DBA Northern Cup is ON! We will be hosted by Oscar’s Inn in Newark on Sat 31st July and they’re providing us with gazebos in the back garden area for our sole use on the day. The website for the pub is here: www.oscarsinn.co.uk/The bar will be open for food and drinks from 12pm through to the conclusion of our event, so plenty of refreshments for people to tap Into to keep them fuelled during their gaming endeavours 😉 We still have 4 places available, if anyone else would like to join us. PM me if interested… Final details of all the games, rules, etc., will be out in the next fortnight. Looking forward to seeing us back gaming in the UK again soon!

That's fantastic news Paul. And it looks like the pub is certainly going out of its way to facilitate the tournament.
Cheers,

I watched a youtube video by Baldie on one of the previous Northern Cups, and it looks like a well run and enjoyable event. You lucky people!

Certainly is, mainly due to the effort Paul and his colleagues put in before and on the day! It's one of my favourite tournaments and a great challenge when you have no idea what army you are going to end up playing with.

Blimey if you managed to work that out from one of my efforts I am amazed. I like to think that what I lack in the slick glossy productions of our Florida based Hollywood film types i make up for in dour northern wit.

I love turning up not knowing which army you will get to play with or against and on what terrain. I certainly seem to remember having a great game with woods and difficult hills with two almost all mounted forces with I think 1 element that did not mind being in the terrain.

Your videos are enjoyable to watch, and yes, your commentary is quite good in my opinion.

That's what really caught my attention when watching Baldie's video. Now I see why Paul is a painting fiend and constantly posting in the "Who's painting what?" thread.
