This is a little idea that I've started using.
My DBA board has a wooden frame around it. I cut a small notch at the halfway point and 3BW on either side of the halfway, all around the board. I then took a piece of twine, cut to just overhang the frame, and placed two fishing sinkers on the twine to weigh each end down. I made two of these weighted markers.
At terrain deployment, I hang the markers from the halfway markers to give the four quadrants. At troop deployment I hang the markers across the 3BW points. As my terrain is flat and my trees, buildings, scrub are free standing, they are just added to the base after depoyment.
Simple!

Well, my first thought was Conkers.
A good idea for your board, which I also like for the arena look it has.
