Hmmm...it might be a bit odd to have a brave fallen warrior buried in his tomb with his favourite agricultural instrument...it would be like a modern paratrooper’s tombstone depicting him in full battle gear but carrying a garden rake... Perhaps your paratroop fell during operation "Market Garden" ! I cant believe that one actually took me a second.

Based on extensive research of episodes of The Simpsons, Tom & Jerry and old 1970’s British sitcoms I believe the “garden rake” should, for wargaming purposes, be counted as man-portable “caltrops” - an improvised defence especially effective against all mounted troop types.
Oh. And parents, sneaky cats and all pompous characters (teachers, parking wardens etc).
