With the unfortunate cancellation of MOAB due to COVID19, I wanted to offer the opportunity for those who registered for Warband themed tournament a chance to use their armies. The criteria for the tournament included at least 4 elements of Wb, no more than 2 elements of Kn or El, and no allies. Ten people put their hands up to play and there was a widespread variety of armies fielded.
First off, I want to thank Mark for his efforts in securing a great venue for our tournament. I think that the Workers Club turned out to be the perfect venue.
Secondly, a big thanks to you all for coming down to Goulburn and making the tournament such a success.
And so to the placings:
1st, Grant Snowsill (44 points) using II/11 Gallic 2nd, Guy Sheppard (37), II/4a Ch'in 3rd, on countback, Gary Moriarty (37), II/83a Later Visigothic 4th, Peter Spitzkowsky (30), III/5a Middle Frankish 5th, on countback, David Lawrence (30), III/45 Pre Feudal Scots 6th, Ian White (29), II/11 Gallic 7th, Adrian Williams (27), II/30a Galatian 8th, Greg Kelleher (26), IV/28 Prussian 9th, Mark Baker (22), IV/29 Tupi 10th, Peter Phelps (17), II/73 Early Anglo-Saxons.
The inaugural Stephen Webb Spirit of DBA was awarded to Peter Spitzkowsky.
Hopefully David Lawrence's Landwaster will be a goer in late November.
Cheers,

Well done to Mark for getting this off the ground - I'm really sorry that I had to pull out. Very impressed to see the Gauls on top of the pile.

Early Anglo-Saxons are always the poor guys at the bottom when they make a showing around here.

Early Anglo-Saxons are always the poor guys at the bottom when they make a showing around here. Yep, a very difficult proposition. When you use a loaner army you take your chances. Cheers,

Great to see that, in some part of this crazy world, a tournament can still happen 👍😁 P Paul, we were lucky enough to find a venue, in this case a licensed club, that had the space to comply with the 4 square metre per person rule. Cheers,
