I don't think I've ever seen a DBA game with different win conditions (for example capturing and holding objectives). Does anyone have any alternative rules for victory?

What's your blog called? ‘Storm Within the Empire’ for everything DBA3. dbagora.blogspot.com/ Click on the Index and scroll to the very bottom to DBA Campaign. Written eight years ago, they will be updated for DBA3 after completion of the current refurb project 1490 – 1515.
‘18th Century Sojourn’ is a second blog devoted to the gunpowder era using DBA-HX3. 18thcenturysojourn.blogspot.com/

For campaigns set in War of the Roses or Westoeros type settings: Killing/capturing leader works (for Henry VI capturing Camp). For historical battles we all ways use: must have more Elements on table than in the dead pile (so roughly half) - this comes pretty close to break points for most historical armies. We also play Death Match were the objective is to totally destroy opposing force in that case we fight on after half losses but army becomes Broken so that all elements fight at -1 and Group moves can only be Holds. Any element not getting a Hold or an Individual move routs off table at end of Movement Phase. Other ideas include seizing on on table Castle or something like the Battle of the Herrings (or Loot Train) were you trying to stop a supply convoy. You could also try delivery a high level captive or commander to a fortress (such as Joan of Arc getting into Orleans or a War of the Rose claimant trying to get into London).
