Hello Fanatici! Its been 5-6 years (and at last 1 version) since I played DBA, but a quick look around tells me a lot of you I knew on the old forum are still active. I never made the transition to 3.0 and wandered off to other projects when my usual opponents moved on. Iām pretty much starting fresh as I sold most of my armies. But, I feel the love for this wonderful game again. My previous gaming was in 15mm and all that remains are Low Countries, my Teutonic Order and have unpainted Prussians, Estonians and Lithuanians which will now see the light of day again!. But, the new project is DBA in 2mm. So, get your magnifying glass out. My 2mm adventure has so far been limited to ACW and TYW, some of which you can see here: senlachill.blogspot.com/2019/09/2mm-acw.html?m=1senlachill.blogspot.com/2018/04/thirty-years-war-in-2mm-basing-using.html?m=1(hope links work - have to remind myself how to insert pictures) The new adventure is starting with Biblical armies - New Kingdom Egyptians appearing soon! Good to be back - hello to and who remember me - was I Alan Lauder on the old forum? Anyway ... more to follow Cheers Alan

Welcome back! I am so impressed with your ACW armies and terrain. It shows that you can make A 2ft square board look like a battlefield. I must admit that if I were starting again in DBA I'd go with the small scale. I was thinking Baccus 6mm on 60mm bases. But you show smaller can also work and the Picoarmor Celts are to die for!
Cheers
Jim

G'day Jim, thanks for that. That's been the aim all along with the 2mm thing. I remember the first time I saw an irregular 2mm tercio - couldn't believe you could game with it! But I really have enjoyed trying to recreate those bird's eye battle scenes.
You are right, this gives me a chance to start fresh -. I'd quite like to do some late medievals in 6mm. Those Pico Celts are awesome - never seen those before!
Cheers and thanks again Alan
