Just seems over complicated to me manyexcuse. Best not involve sheffmark in any discussions either he can be rather partisan I have found.

I think you'll find the Partizan show doesn't feature a DBA competition so that shouldn't come into it.

I'm sure mustrum would be delighted. The premiership? Still think it should be finished (thankfully it is) but needed to wait until safe to do so Wouldn't want the 30 year drought to have an asterix!

Never knew Mustrum was so anti Gaul!
Maybe future competitions should be played behind closed doors with piped crowd noises and various chants:
"Where were you, where were you, where were you at Granicus? Where were you at Granicus?"
"Who throws all the ones, who throws all the ones, Colin O'Shea, Colin O'Shea he throws all the ones! (Though I think that chant is a couple of seasons out of date now)
"What do we want? - "A six" "When do we want it?" - "Preferably in a crucial combat"
etc, etc.

If Ken is defending, it is best to assume that any plough will be rough going once the game starts.

Perhaps the participants should all isolate together in a hotel for two weeks before starting the competition (and two weeks afterwards)? You would also need to wipe down the parapernalia, troops and terrain after each move, lol

So it looks like there will only have been 5 or 6 tournaments in the 12 months after the last SOA UK DBA League season ended last October. The rules state you get your best 5 scores in a season, but there are normally a dozen or more tournaments in a year. No one managed all 5 tournaments before lockdown but the league leaders are dominated by those who attended 3 or 4 tournaments, whereas one of the tournament winners (who only managed to make 1 of the 5) is down in 15th place. The organisers have decided we can't declare a winner on that basis (even though the leader is 18 points clear of his nearest rival). We have decided that we will carry over the current scores into next year, making it a 24 month season (assuming that regular tournaments start up in the next 6 months or so).

Any chance of the ‘current standings’ being published please, Bill?

Any chance of the ‘current standings’ being published please, Bill? I'm reluctant to do so because they are so skewed in favour of number of tournaments attended.

But if the decision has been made to extend to a 24 month period anyway then the current standings are only interim anyway, so it would be good to see them so far, if you could publish them Bill?

A friend has said that it would be a shame to remove those 2018-2019 scores from the PAWS website. Let’s keep them there for a few more months, they look lovely. I tend to agree, what’s the hurry?

"A friend" ?!!!!! Anyway the 2018-19 scores don't get removed, they just become part of history. In fact even now I'm struggling to see them properly through the mists of time. There they go, fading into the distance, becoming less relevant with each passing day.
