I was expecting this. Here is what I received in my email:
"We here at CanGames had been holding out hope that we could host you all at our convention in May, to give everyone something fun to look forward to once the current COVID-19 measures could be relaxed. Unfortunately, as we all know, getting through this situation is taking much longer, and requiring more aggressive measures, than was thought in early days. We have now been told that the Rideau Curling Club will be closed through May.
In the circumstances, we are cancelling CanGames 2020.
We did consider delaying the convention, but overall we realize that the best plan at this time is to welcome you all back May 21-23, 2021 for CanGames 2021.
We will be reaching out in coming days to everyone who registered to discuss how your full refund will be processed. If you have registration questions, please reach out to registration@cangames.ca.
Our CanGames team values the health and safety of all our attendees, volunteers, vendors, GMs, and other members of the community. We wish you all the best in this challenging time, and hope you all come safely through this period. We’re looking forward to having you all join us again in May 2021.
Regards
Daniel Bouchard"

Yep, makes sense. Health and safety first, right? And no surprise, locally (Seattle, USA), our region's big game-fest, ENFILADE, held annually in late May, also just announced its cancellation.

Large gathering of people all sharing dice, etc..!
I have a little chalkboard in the kitchen where I have written down how many days left until CanGames, so I could keep track of how much time I had left to paint up armies and get the terrain done, and all the rest.
Changed the days left from 43 to 413!

I trust you just inserted a 1 between the 4 and the 3. 😷
Keep safe,
