I've paid attention to the games being played at Little Wars and surprisingly, in the past few years, I've not seen many/any DBA and/or HOTT games on the event list. This year, I believe that I'm the ONLY DBA/HOTT game there, I couldn't find any others. I'll be bringing my 15mm Human and Orc/Goblin armies and letting players bash each other to pieces! Game: HOTT Times in Etinerra - Sunday, 11am - Grand Ballroom Space 19 Here's the blurb: As the Orc and Goblin forces assembled on the horizon, the Human commander gazed nervously from the roof of her castle Stronghold. Would the forces of Weal prevail against the army of Woe? Find out with a fun game of Hordes of the Things set in the Etinerra campaign world. Wizards! Monsters! Oh my!Edited to add: I just noticed that it's sold out. Stop on by, there might be no-shows as this is a Sunday morning game. Also, if you know of other DBA or HOTT games at Little Wars, please let me know!! I'll make sure to talk them up on my blog and here!

This is great! Spread the good news. I have wanted to do a leg of the famous International Good Bad and Ugly HOTT Tournament in the Chicago area. I come there every thanksgiving and thought there could be a tournament on that Saturday. Previously there was no core of HOTT players. Maybe with your Little Wars efforts you can create a pool of players --6 or 8 is enough. Take names and keep up the good work. I can provide armies for people who would want to play but not collect.

bob - I started NIFMA (Northern IL Fantasy Miniatures Association) for that purpose - but so far, we've got a core group of 3. 6 to 8... that might take some doing. I'm not sure why there's not much more interest in DBA/HOTT around Chicago, but there's not.

I know several who live in and near Lombard who played version 2.2 with us in Missouri and Nebraska but they have switched to playing that “other” game developed on the East Coast.

Triumph. I think they play some 3.0 but I think more of them opt for Triumph, or that’s my understanding.

Scratch the Little Wars game - HMGS-Midwest just announced that due to the restrictions in Illinois, Little Wars has been cancelled.
I will try to get some HOTT going at cons later in the year, once things have gotten better.
