I don't know if this is how it would be spelled but I'm having a touch of scale-itus ! I love 6mm I really do! I also love 15mm and now I rather fancy 28mm .... I have several projects in different scales on the go I was just wondering if you guys have had this problem? I feel like an indecisive lemming at the moment, I hope it's not just me

Def share your pain.
28mm skirmish 15mm big battles 6mm sensible really for everything
If I were starting again I would prob lean towards 6mm for most stuff.
I love my 28mm Russian Naps but need big space and time to play with em. If I had gone 6mm I would have had a huge force, prob several of em just dug out Blucher as thinking if I want to do 6mm or 15mm
That said 15mm seems to be by far the most popular scale for DBA, Lart and HC
If just talking DBA I will always side with 15mm personally.

28mm for warband and skirmish. Also up to platoon scale ww2. 15mm for ancients and company level ww2. The only rule I have is not to recreate the same army in multiple scales 6mm is reserved for sci fi but I’ve always wanted to do ancients in that scale.

I see you both are tempted by the lure of 6mm and it's delights! Napoleonics would certainly suit 6mm because of the epic battles and DBA would be great in 6mm. I say go for it😀

I say go for it😀 I wish I had gone to a smaller scale for my Napoleonics. I went with 1/72 scale and my goodness it took ages to paint up two armies.

I do 15mm and 28mm. 6mm is getting too sight challenging for me now.

I use 20mm for DBA And Napoleonics. 28mm for English Civil War.
Have in the past tried 2mm and 10mm for DBA and did have a 6mm War of the Roses army.
I am tempted by 6mm again.

I'm currently only doing 15mm, for the Middle Ages.
I've got an old 6mm Ancient Greek project stored in my home town that I might at some point go fetch and complete, and I used to do 20mm plastic Rome and her enemies and 28mm WWII, but I don't think I'll ever rescue those.

And here I thought Scalitus was the Samnite commander at the Battle of Caudine Forks, 321 BC. (Grins.)

The figures that I started wargaming with were 6mm Baccus Montrose v. Scottish government armies. I later took up using 15mm and 25/28mm figures. I don't do many skirmish games these days, and I much prefer 6mm and 15mm for battle-games. I use 6mm for Napoleonics, American War of Independence, English Civil War/Great Rebellion, and also some ancient games. I particularly like 15mm for slightly unusual armies which I can't get figures for in 6mm.
If I had to choose one figure size, it would be 15mm, mainly because of the greater range available. Honourable mention to 6mm, though, for mass effect and ability to depict formations on the bases. All of my Napoleonics and AWI, and most of my 6mm ancients are now on 60mm wide bases.

I have just bought a job lot of 6mm ancient Greeks. I'm going to base them on 60mm frontage. I will probably get 32 hoplites per base. I love 15mm but I have to scratch that 6mm itch, I just have to!

Cromwell, it could be worse. She could have compared you to Crystal Ken, Barbie's boyfriend.
Oh,I just had an evil thought; a HoTT Action Man, Barbie and Cindy army! I should say I have two daughters, thats why I seem to know so much about dolls ☺
