Most people in this hobby hate bendy pike and spears. I am one of those people too. But wait! perhaps bendy cast on pikes are actually okay? Maybe because real pikes are bendy too apparently! Whilst researching the Macedonian Sarissa yesterday, I noticed in a few videos on YouTube that the pikes used in demonstrations were in fact quite bendy, particularly when the pike is tilted or held parallel with the ground. When thinking about it , it stands to reason but I admit I was surprised. Here is an example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKHLAYVm2B4

Also not that its relevant to DBA but rolling a handful of differently sized and coloured dice in one attack is also hideous.

There is a big difference between a pike deflecting under its own self weight and a 'bendy' spear Fielding bent spears is a far greater offence than playing with unpainted toys!!!!

To be honest I'd rather have bendy pikes than upright pikes made from pins where you play Russian Roulette whenever you go to pick up a pike unit, will you get a pin under your finger nail or not?
But then a bit of blood on the table top makes it more realistic, yes?

I love my Scots Common yeoman. Nylon pikes that bend but always return to straight, don’t draw blood or ping off annoyingly and require fixing. And yes bendy weapons are a poor show in my book as well 🙂 Craig

I'm a sharp pin man when I can be......Respect my toys or they'll stab you! That said I'll often start with the natural lead but after losing a few pike you get to that point where an army looks shabby it'll be Dremmel time.

Bendy spears, pikes, swords and bayonets are the work of the Devil. Standard poles too. Burn the witches!
