Special request time again (don't worry, with luck my shiny DBA 3.0 hardback will be here next week!)...
Could someone please tell me if the Khitan list has changed from this:
Steppe. Ag: 2. 1x3Kn (Gen), 1x3Kn, 3x3Cv, 3x2LH, (1x3/4Bd + 1x4Cb + 2x7Hd) or (1x3Kn + 1x3Cv + 2x2LH)
And if the Horde are still there, are they the unarmed captives driven ahead of the army or Chinese militia?
Thanks

Not just the list that's changed, the army number is now III/56.
Still Steppe and Ag 2.
1 General (3Kn/Cv), 2 x 3Kn/Cv, 2 x Cv, 3 x LH, [1 x 3Kn/Cv + 2 x LH] or [1 x 3/4Bd + 2 x 4Cb] and 1 x LH or Chinese levy (Hd) or Art.

Thanks. I've fixed the army number.
That looks to be an improved list. (I think I'd go with the unarmed captives rather than the Chinese levy, just for effect.)
Cheers!

Following on from this, would it be safe to predict that the pre-dynastic Khitan list found in the Hsien-Pi (d) list (prev. II/61) is now: 1x3Kn/Cv (Gen), 2x3Kn/Cv, 8x2LH, 1x2Ps or something similar, where the previous Cv are now Kn/Cv? (or are they still Cv only?)
Cheers

Still II/61(d) and still CV with 8xLH and 1xPS.

Kara-Khitan cavalry is also Cv only; it's just Liao-era ordo soldiers that can be deployed as 3Kn.

I suppose I just expected the Hsien-Pi (who get Kn), some of whom went on to become Khitans (who get Kn) to also have the option of Kn when they were in pre-dynastic Khitan phase.

Well my hardback Purple Primer arrived today, the last 'new' copy in the known universe. So fear not, there will be no more requests for army lists. I have noticed how much the Tibetan list has improved, and how much the Hsi-Hsia list has changed. Many hours of perusing armies and reading rules ahead.

It seems our interests overlap; please share any thoughts or observations you have regarding the Xixia, the Khitans, and so on!
