Hello all. I am relatively new to solo wargaming. I enjoy ancients, ACW, and Napoleonic periods. Right now I am starting my 3rd ancients campaign using DBA 3.0 rules. I had a question, checked the internet, and stumbled on this fantastic wiki forum. I just spent hours browsing discussions and enjoying it all.
At some point I would like to "post" my ancients solo campaign ideas (gathered from many sources and tested through trial and error) so others can comment, tear it apart, add to it, question it, etc. I'd like to "grow" it and I think this is the best way.
My big question is, how do I "publish" or "post" it or whatever the correct term is? I am VERY new to wiki and might actually stumble on the answer someday, but I am hoping one of you experienced old hands can point me in the right direction.
Meantime, I hope to join in on some of the very interesting conversations I've found.
Happy wargaming?

First of all welcome to the forum! You could just post your ideas on the forum under the "Campaigns" section. Or if you have your own web site or blog you could publish them there and post a link on this forum. Either way it will be seen and I am sure those more knowledgeable than I on the ancient era will be along to comment. Spanglefish host a site for a free web page. If you visit mine at www.spanglefish.com/solitarywargamer you can check it out.

I too would like to welcome Wargamerdale to Fanaticus... ...and would very much like to see his solo campaign rules. (If only to see what ideas I can pinch )Posting in the Fanaticus Wiki is a possibility, but it's awkward, especially if you need to keep updating changes and adjustments. The Fanaticus Wiki is best for finished finalized stuff. So Cromwell’s suggestion is probably your best bet. But for people to post comments and suggestions you will still need to start a thread in say the “Campaigns” or the “Solo DBX” sections of Fanaticus, with the link to your file (I suggest the latter, as it doesn’t get used much, and your thread will stay at the top for longer). Some Helpful Downloads can be found here: fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Reference_sheets_and_epitomes And here is the latest Jan 2019 FAQ: fanaticus-dba.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ_2019_1st_Quarter

Thank to all for the warm welcome. I look forward to our discussions and exchange of ideas. Oh yes, it is quite OK to "pinch" any ideas I put out there, since they have most likely been "pinched" from someone else.

My crew refers to pinching game ideas as "paying those rules the ultimate compliment".

Got it about the "pinching ideas" I always viewed it that way too.

Hello, Wargamerdale and welcome!
I am one of those gamers that play I'm particularly interested in campaigns too. Would be interested in your ideas.
Cheers, Paul.😀

Ooow solo campaign rules, we'd like to see those 😊 You'll get plenty of help with fine tuning them from this forum.

OK, I tried the Wiki approach but it was a struggle, so I created a blog. Just go to dalemunz.blogspot.com This is for my homegrown solo campaign for ancients using DBA rules (your choice of version) I mentioned before. It is a work in progress and I will be trying out a few new wrinkles soon. All comments and criticisms cheerfully welcomed. Heck, I could be grouchy, but life is too short
