Nice work Tony.
Old Glory are a favourite of mine, but I cut the spears and lance away from the body to lower their position and less likely chance of their bending during action.

I've thought about doing that because as much as I like Old Glory, many of their lances/spears look like rough-hewn logs.

A number of poses predominate through all their mounted cavalry, the famed javelin gripped close to the blade and 10 mm of shaft protruding in the air or the right hand resting on the cheek or helmet with sword or javelin.
These I cut free of the helmet or head and reposition and the 10 mm of shaft I have shortened the length to at least give the impression of a balanced weapon. I some cases I have trimmed and filed the javelin to make swords.

It is funny how some manufacturers have their annoying habits of casting several types of figures. Just off memory... OLD GLORY Bug-eyed dudes Bug-eyed dudes with massive cheekbones (Corvus Bellis has this same problem) Uppity horse poses. Horse straps that just vanish in thin air before reaching the saddle. Horses with Cankles. ESSEX Assorted Flashdance poses. "I don't want anything to do with this lance/spear" pose. Horses with head held in shame or "leave me alone I'm grazing/checking out the mare next to me." Castings that are just damn boring with no detail. Spaghetti bending pikes/lances. MINIFIGS World's longest javelins known to man.

Nice Goths Tony! (and funny fig reviews!) You are welcome. Here are few more just off the cuff. MUSEUM MINIATURES Hapsburg-jawed behemoths. Brothers from another Mother (same range of figures but vastly disproportionate sizes between figures) Chariots driven by Greyhounds & Daschunds. Yao Ming-sized Chinese peasantry. Double-parked Camelry.

One, currently, black horde of IV/35 Mongol Conquest... They are quite evil looking. Paint the eyes red and they will be ready to go.

That has got to be a much quicker method of painting as what I use, but how do you get all up in the nooks and crannies?

Newline Sumerians.
Newline Hittites. Nice figures and I like the bases. Think I'll do something similar with mine.

That has got to be a much quicker method of painting as what I use, but how do you get all up in the nooks and crannies? By undercoating the proverbial out of them using GW chaos black spray, it means the few recesses (belly of the middle horse and shield nooks mainly) the brush can't go are black. Which is exactly how a recess should be.
