Today I started working on the LCh (G) element. Today I was able to paint up the chariot and team. Also a basecoat of flesh has been applied to the crew and escort warriors. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to compete painting the crew. Cheers, Boudicca mounted on her chariot is now completed. However, before I can apply the final varnish coats l need a day of no wind and at least 15°c. Once vanished I'll post images on the 2FB DBA pages. Before I sign off, a special thank you to very good friend Mark, aka Jan Zizka, for converting a Xyston figure from their Civilian pack to represent the queen of the Iceni. Cheers, I was able to spray varnish the army yesterday and today I took photos of the finished Ancient British. The images are up on the 2 FB DBA pages. Here's a link to the public access DBA FB page: www.facebook.com/groups/dba.hott.wargaming/permalink/10158014022721821/Cheers,

After touching up and rebasing some old Hoplites I added a couple of foot Generals to lead them. They've been done for a while it was just the basing part that has taken some time to build up the willpower for.

Mark, Nice painting. Which manufacturer are these? The "Blues" are all Forged in Battle except for the standard bearer who I believe is from Quick Reaction Force (Freikorp?). The "Reds" are Forged in Battle, Hoplites, and the other two are Gladiator.

I've had a very productive couple of days...Rajput Cavalry finally finished! I also got a good start on 3 elephants to complete the army.
I also de-flashed & undercoated 2 elements of Hindu Cavalry,3 stands of bow and 2 elephants.
I'm just having to live with the carpal tunnel so my painting is erratic and the lack of confidence it brings with it (never mind flitting from one army to another) slows you to a pitiful stop.It was this lack of confidence which really delayed the finishing of the Rajput Cavalry.I'd already done most of the horse barding before my ailment took hold and it was the detail on the shields that I could not get my head around.I wanted to do it but kept putting it off. Finally I found a way to face it by doing conversions, basing and model work required for armies in the lead pile. This finally prompted the confidence and desire to finish what I'd started.
So my advice to anyone in similar circumstances just to keep doing little bits to keep yourself ticking over.If you stop, fine as long as you retain an interest read or watch documentaries or films and one day you'll get yourself moving again.

Currently painting Napoleonic-era Georgian Khevsurs. A long way to go before I have a full army, though!

On Sunday I managed to find some painting time - it is winter here in Canberra and my painting table is in the garage, working best if I open the door and use natural light. So with the rain and the cold I haven't done much over the past few weeks.
I did finish basing my Numidians and the first few Ottoman elements earlier but Sunday gave me a few hours of sunshine and not too cold temps. I finished off 1x7Hd for my Northern Sung Chinese - the army is now legal (I can field a 12 element army for battle) 1x3Ax and 1x4Pk for my Macedonian Early Successor (Olympias).
Cheers

Thanks Greg,
I took a more heroic tilt yesterday as the temp was lower and the sun was not as bright, but I finished off 1xLCh for the New Kingdom Egyptians (b list) and 2xLH for the Later Hungarians (c list) as part of my long quest to bring all my old armies up to full purple compliance.
The end is in sight for that now with only six or seven to go.
Cheers
