My Ptolemaics took to the field yesterday against the Seleucids in our BUA City theme games. Making its debut was my newly finished BUA City in 6mm scale, which I purchased at least 20 years ago for Micro-Armour games. Twenty years is a long time for a building project. It does look great.

I have completed my first command of Early Byzantine. The varnish will dry overnight and tomorrow I will finish their bases.
These took longer than I expected as I vacillated between shield patterns. Pleased with the result and I shall use the same design but with different colour.
Photos will be taken when I start the Byzantine campaigns next month.

Photos will be taken when I start the Byzantine campaigns next month. The second command of Early Byzantine have been undercoated and while drying this will give me an opportunity to read my latest purchases.
The spears have been replaced with brass rod and the extra length will enable pennons to be fixed to them. I will begin painting these later in the week as the campaign tests are now a priority.

Splendid looking Ptolemies and spiffy Boouh, Tony. Really nice looking game.
Macbeth, funny coincidence: My Koryo Koreans just got got dropped into the Dunk Tank so I can begin the process to make them V-3 compliant as well. Question: What's a Koryo War Wagon look like???

My Koroyo War Wagon currently looks like a mish mash of figures - two bowmen standing in a simple wagon whilst some spearmen look ferocious in various directions.
Basically - until I can find out what it is supposed to look like I chose the "best guess based on what figures I had to hand so that the boys could take the field this Sunday".
The extra Bw and WWg came from my picking up a bargain of painted Koreans at the MOAB bring and buy. I was able to make up 3 of the 4Bw with those figures and added in the remaining 4Bw using the Irregular miniatures Bw figs (another of 4 of these will go to the Yuan army). It also had a very large camp scene with an asiatic covered wagon, firepit, guard dog and those Japanese style tent hangings. The top flipped off the wagon without much effort so it with the firepit and dog make up one camp and the tent hangings a second. On the whole it was a good buy
I have to bring the following armies up to code this year Mongol Conquest Yuan Chinese (nearly done - battle ready) Southern Sung (battle ready - several elements to go for full compliance) Koroyo Korean (done) Nan Chao (being built) Early Samurai (OMG all that 6Cv) Medieval Vietnamese Burmese Khmer (underway) Siamese (dear lord just about every conceivable fast troop under the sun where before it was all 3Wb or All 3Ax so the same 6 elements could be used). Malay or Sumatran (Done) Uighhur Medieval Hindu (Done)

Love the fort, Tony. Is that a commercial building or a scratch built?

The second early Byzantine command is painted up and now varnished. By the weekend I can finished their bases and ready them for their series of battles against the Sassanid, Vandals and Goths.

Last week I finished off two more Sp elements for the Trojans - once they are based properly and the last LCh is done then the army is battle ready. In addition another element of 7Hd for one of my Anglo Danish rolled off the boards.
Cheers
