I finished working on the horses yesterday and I'm pleased with the way they turned out. Hopefully I'll turn to the riders and the foot banner bearer today. Cheers, The foot standard bearer carrying the Earl of Pembroke's standard has been completed. The 3 riders are still to be finished. Cheers, So the Feudal English army for the refight that I hope to run at MOAB this year is now complete, except for the standards on William Marshal's command element. So pictures are imminent on the FB DBA pages. This begs the question, should I also paint up the optional 2x3Bw, 1x4Cb and 1x3Pk elements? Cheers,

Very impressive group photos. BTW, the cloak or blanket roll is also part of the Mongol kit.

Jut received some African forest elephants from Mick Yarrow. Undercoat tonight and paint tomorrow - in theory!

I have Goldie the family dog on my Gothic camp followers.

All my pets (past and present) have memorial figures on the bases of my 15mm WW2 German high command. However, not in DBA as I don’t think Labradors and German Shepherds were around in Alexander’s time. I should probably have tried to persuade the wife to buy a Mollosian hound instead of Labs!
That said many of my DBA camps have dogs or other odd animals on them - I just planning an Indian camp with a cow, a goat and an armadillo.

I have Goldie the family dog on my Gothic camp followers. No, although I am trying to match the painting to represent one of my older daughter's two cats. It was my older daughter who prompted me to get a Viking army and who then bought some of the figures for it. And it was also she who informed me that the Vikings introduced ginger cats to Britain. (I wasn't disposed to challenge this statement.) So Balanchine in miniature has been part of the plan for the camp element more or less from the outset. And as it's St Patrick's Day, I have also started preparing the optional 3Ax element.
