Save the date DBA Players in Oz
The Canberra Games Society is Hosting Wintercon 20-21 July 2019 and DBA is part of it
Wintercon DBA
Venue: Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) - Flemington Rd, Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory
Date: Sunday 21st July
Commencement: 9:30AM
Format: 6 Round Swiss Chess style draw with historical seeding for round 1 and in cases of equal scores Open (one army against all comers) Fixed List (players use the same 12 elements in each round) 15mm Scale DBA3
There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, with additional prizes for the Executioner (most kills in a single game), The Magister Militum (highest adjusted score for those not in the top 3)
Last place will not go home empty handed.
This is the second event in the 2019/20 Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis circuit. To qualify for "The Grand Maurice" you need to compete in at least 3 of the 5 DBA Events held in the Australian Capital Territory (so there is still time to enter the first one - Collison Course V this month )
The event website is now up and ticket sales will go live soon - cgs.asn.au/wintercon-2019/tournaments-2/
Get in early so that we can reserve our space allotment and not have to fight with other events
Looking forward to seeing you there
Cheers

Excellent Greg
I will take your list as soon as you wish - any time before the start day is good.
I will set up a spreadsheet for the draw this weekend.
The sooner you get your list in the greater your chance of winning the jelly snake again
Congratulations Fellow Tribune Cheers

So Mark, the hard work begins with working out which army to field. Cheers, Mmmmm, over recent years I've gone with light armies.....light horse, psiloi, light bow......float like a butterfly, sting like a bee and all that.
Might be time for some heavy metal !

Looks like we have our fourth entry and he has already given me his army choice - but not his list yet
So the Chocolate Frog/Jelly Snake award remains up for grabs.

The first list is in Still looking for a few more players - there is plenty of room, and whilst I can take entries on the day, I don't want to have to fight the other tournament organisers for the tables cheers
