Well done Tony - we’ll done all. Am I right in thinking that with 8 wins the Burgundians were the army of the weekend?
Well, the new Burgundians were built so I could use them as both IV/76 Early Burgundians and IV/85a Burgundian Ordonnance.
The IV/76 went 3-0 in the "Greatest General" event.
The IV/85a went 2-1 in the Medieval Mayhem and 3-0 in the NICT.
Let's just say that I don't think they were easy wins with these armies as I felt I had to protect my shooters all the time and had to be both cautious (as there are a lot of fragile troops vs. spear/blade) and aggressive by putting pressure on the enemy by shooting.
I also spent some effort playing "keep away" with my 8Lb from both any Art or other concentrated bow fire as losing them would cost me two elements for the first one.
Hats off to all of my opponents who made it very challenging (with special kudos to David Shepps for laying some insanely nasty terrain that I had fight my way into against his PM Samurai.)
As a side note, I believe in all but one battle (of the nine total battles) ALL of the Burgundian knights deployed as blade as they were needed to protect/bolster the bows. In that one battle the general stand was the only Kn deployed.
I also enjoyed playing all my games with a PINK die.
