Hello fanatici! As if I don't have enough projects, I now have an itch to make an ancient Atlantean army for Greek Myth HOTT. Something that Plato wouldn't find incredulous rather than Aquaman style armies (although, as a pathological wargamer, the battle scene in Aquaman did raise many possibilities). Battle Valor seems interesting but I'm not up to date with other fantasy producers so I'm coming to the group for advice. Cheers Jim

Easy. Base an Atlantean army on Minoans. Many scholars believe the mythology of Atlantis was based upon the Minoan culture which thrived on the island of Thera, until it had its little eruption problem in the 2nd Millenium BC, and that Plato spiced up his account of it by moving "beyond the Pillars of Hercules" (aka Gibraltar).
Add in Centaurs and Minotaurs to HOTT it up.

That's the idea Paul. Sort of a mix of historical and Homeric classical. I have found OG15s Army of Astur, which could paint up nice in bronze and gold. I have the Eureka centaurs to do Lapiths v Centaurs. I also have Xyston Skythian Female Warriors for semi-historical Amazons. Jim
