It's about a 50-50 split for me; 3.0 and D3H2.

Those in attendance last night at our bi-weekly, NAGS DBA group are still DBA-2 fans, so, as the expression goes, "When in Rome...", and so I played only 2.2 last night. While it's no longer my preference, it is still a fun game, and I had an enjoyable evening.

The Fencibles play 3.0. Old 2.2 rules still intrude upon our efforts to play 3.0 properly. We play other rules and periods, like Bloody Big Battles for grand tactical 19th century, Rebels & Patriots for black powder skirmishes. Doing two different versions of DBA would make heads explode.

vtsaogames:
We feel the same way about trying to maintain old HOTT mechanics and DBA 3.0 much better to just use the more user friendly DBA 3.0 mechanics for both.

We still run tournaments in 2.2 in Missouri and Nebraska. In fact two coming up in a few weeks. We know it, we like it, it works. 3.0 and Triumph have more moving parts. All have their flaws. Fastest and easiest for us is 2.2.

There is a group still playing DBA version 2.2 in Kansas City and Omaha. We have two tournaments coming up at Recruits in Lee’s Summit, Missouri at the end of September. Look up information online at Recruits Convention We use 15mm armies and the tournament is open all army lists in version 2.2. If you don’t have an army we will have several loaners available for use.
